today was the first day i struggled with the diet. i can look back now and realize that it is because i didn't prepare my food for today last night (it was one of my kid's back-to-school night and the meetings went until 10pm so it was a late, rushed night). i thought throwing meals together as i went would be ok, but it was not. CARBS! i had my lunch on a mini baguette instead of over a bed of greens and then i had more than a couple of cookies with my kids after school. i also went over by a dairy and a protein serving.
joon and i decided to skip plyometrics today and double up tomorrow morning with plyo and the arms and shoulders. he is flying home right now, we both had hectic days, and one of his friend's band is playing tonight so he is headed back out as soon as he takes a shower.
not a good day. good thing another one is right around the corner!

Hi Kate! :) I'm so excited you found OFB 'cuz that means I found you too! I'm on Day 26 with P90X and LOVE IT! Just remember to do your best and forget the rest!
ReplyDeleteMy question for Kate...are you still following your regular diet or are you following the P90X diet? I still have a head cold, had a brownie yesterday, a bagel today and a mcdonalds ice cream tonight. Can you guys say "gluttoneous" Need to get back on the program in the next few days....can't wait to clear my head with some Yoga X.
ReplyDeletemichelle, hi! it is great to follow your posts as well--keeps me motivated to keep pushin play!
ReplyDeletejohn, i am following the level one p90x diet. that means i am eating eggs, chicken and turkey, cow milk, and CHEESE (in addition to all the other stuff). i am still sifting through things in my head about that and am not sure if i will go back to eating vegan after the 90 days, but for now i wanted to follow the nutrition plan as closely as we are following the workouts. joon is following the level two plan (when he follows a plan at all!). what about you? hey, michelle said it best when she quoted tony....just do your best and forget the rest!
